In my capacity as Head of Cameras at Sky Sports and latterly as a contract camera crew supplier I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Paul for almost 15 years.

The reporters reporter, Paul is the ultimate professional, highly respected by football managers, players, club press teams as well as his colleagues and competitors with in the broadcast industry.

Whether it’s breaking news utilising his extensive high level contacts within football, live broadcast, match comms, studio presentation or one on one interviewing of the biggest names in sport Paul's ability to communicate the story to the viewer is of the highest order.

In my 30 years in the industry when I get assigned a shoot and see Paul’s name on it I know it going to be a fun, productive & professional experience.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Paul over several years at SSN, and I can say without hesitation that he’s one of the most professional, diligent, and genuinely pleasant people I’ve worked alongside in this industry.

He’s the journalist who prepares thoroughly, communicates clearly, and shows up ready to deliver, keeping his head when under pressure. He’s meticulous with the details that matter, and yet never loses sight of the bigger picture, editorially or logistically. He appreciates the role of the camera operator working alongside him and writes to shots.

Just as importantly, he’s a proper team player. Quick to muck in when things get hectic, he’s the sort of colleague you’re glad to have in the mix. No ego, no fuss, just very good at his job.

I’ve always enjoyed working with Paul. He has helped me out on several occasions when I needed a reporter to come into the studio and tell a story.

What always stands out from his work was getting the exclusive that Harry Kane wants to leave Spurs. He has taken that and owned the story of Kane going to Bayern developing a relationship with him that has led to several good interviews on SSN.

I know Paul works hard to maintain contacts so I fully believe he will deliver similar transfer lines and interviews in the future.
